Installation of the TDavinci component

Before your application can use the TDavinci component, it must first be installed in Delphi. Otherwise, you also receive an error message at the shop of only the sample program.

Design

Delphi fits a library of aller installed components, for normal below the name COMPLIB.DCL and/or CMPLIB32.DCL. This library is a DLL compiled into the components known Delphi all has. Around a further component for installing, Delphi will translate the source code of the component and create a new COMPLIB.DCL.

• Please, create a backup copy of your file CMPLIB32.DCL in the directory Delphi\Bin.
  
  
• Start Delphi
  
  
• Select the menu item "install..." from the menu "component".
  
  
• Dialog "install components" appears
  
  
• Activate the command button "add..."
  
  
• Dialog "add module" appears
  
  
• Activate the command button "browse..."
  
  
• File selection dialog "add module" appears
  
  
• Select you the file IMAG_VCL.PAS that became installed with DaVinci.
  
  
• Dialog "install components" appears again.
  
  
• Activate the command button OK.

  You find the TDavinci component installed again "system" in the area.

• Please, create a backup copy of your file COMPLIB.DCL in the directory Delphi\Bin.

• Select the menu item "install component..." from the menu "options".

• Select you the file IMAG_VCL.PAS that became installed with DaVinci.

• Activate the command button OK.

  You find the TDavinci component installed again "system" in the area.

Remarks

• In order to install very many components in Delphi you must possibly copy the PASCAL source codes of several components into a directory since the search path of Delphi is limited at its length.
  
  
• If you use several Delphi releases, you should delete the temporary .DCU files generated automatically before you install the component in the nearest Delphi release.
  
  
• If you have executed a modification of the source code of IMAG_VCL.PAS, you can use the menu item "compile library again" in order to lead Delphi for updating the component list.
  
  
• After the installation of the TDavinci - component loads Delphi at the start the DAVxxxx.DLL, LEONxxxx.DLL and IMAGxxxx.DLL. Delphi can only be executed if these DLLs are found in the path (z.B. in the window file).
  
  
• Please, you at first deinstall the VCL component if you would like to delete DaVinci.
